WITRICITY POWERED: SHOULD I GET A LAPTOP OR A PC? EXPLAIN WITRIC..

I'm currently living away from home so that I can be closer to my university, yet when I do go home on the weekends to my ancestral home I don't have much more than internet access on the tiny little netbook my mom has, and I can't be bothered to lug around my Desktop PC back and forth on a weekly basis. Another question would be one of price, since I can get a laptop and go back and forth but for a cheaper price I could have a souped-up PC here and bring this pretty much OK PC back to my parents' house.

WITRICITY POWERED: WOULD I HAVE ENOUGH SYSTEM POWER TO PLAY THIS GAME FEAR 2? VERY CONFUSED PLEASE HELP? GO WITRIC!

Okay so I am thinking of taking back a lattop i have and buying another one online Okay the part that I don't get the most of here and I will list the specs bellow but okay the game says it requires Pentium 4 2.8 GHz or equivalent. Now this computer has plenty of ram 6 gigs and freaking it appears a good enough graphics card. The only thing is it says it has 2.13GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo processor which isn't as high as Pentium 4 2.8 GHz or equivalent, at least the ghz number isn't. So can someone explain this?

WITRICITY: I NEED HELP BUILDING A DESKTOP? WITRIC POWER.

i need a new desktop computer. however, to save, i decided to assemble it instead. i need a stable desktop that can do a lot of regular multimedia stuff like photo editing, watching movies, music etc fast and efficiently. i do a little photoshop and a lot of word processor.. im not into gaming and it the computer has to be quiet and if it can, energy efficient.. i went to a computer builder site, and these are the specs i chose. i have no idea what im doing though so if you have suggestions, please tell me. :) im on a tight budget so this pc should last me a while. thanks so much!
